Florida Homebuilders use Substandard Materials
Currently at Jeeves and Hutchison, we are investigating potential damages caused by drywall manufactured in China. This Chinese drywall contains chemicals such as sulfur that will emit an odor resembling rotten eggs.
The sulfur contained in the drywall has potential to create sulfuric acid when combined with moisture. Homes containing these Chinese drywall products may also experience problems with the air-conditioning and/or wiring in the home.
The drywall in question was primarily used between 2004-2006 in Florida, while there was an increased demand for drywall and manufacturing companies chose to settle for lower quality standards. If you own a house that was manufactured by Lenar, Taylor Morgan, WCI, or other builders and are experiencing any of these or other problems we would like to hear what you have to say and possibly fight for your rights.
At Jeeves and Hutchison, we are committed to protecting the consumer. You should not be forced to leave your home because the materials used were of sub-standard quality. If you have experienced any of these problems and believe that they may be the result of defective Chinese Drywall or other sub-standard material, please e-mail Scott Jeeves, Esq. to arrange for a free consultation and review of your rights, or call 727-894-2929.
